Budget Plan
F.C. Haab helps customers manage fuel bills with our convenient Budget Plan, which spreads out your fuel costs in 10 even monthly payments. We developed the Budget Plan to give customers an easy way to fit their fuel expenses into their household budget.
Rather than pay for each delivery as we make it, you pay a predictable amount every month.
We determine your monthly payment based on our calculations for the coming heating season. We estimate both the per-gallon price and your fuel usage to arrive at a total anticipated cost, then we divide that total by 10. You can also include your Service Plan costs in your Budget Plan
The F.C. Haab Budget Plan is particularly useful when fuel costs are running higher than normal, because it spares the customer from oversized payments in winter. Regardless of how many deliveries you receive in a month or what the price is, you are obligated to make only one monthly payment. The Budget Plan offers the choice of paying by check, electronic check, debit card or credit card.
To learn more about our Budget Plan and how it can help you and your finances, e-mail us directly or call our office. We'll be happy to help you with any information you need.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The Budget Plan relies on estimates in setting the customer's monthly payment amount. When fuel prices rise or usage increases, the total cost can increase, leaving a balance due at the end of the budget year. If you suspect that your total cost will be higher than expected, feel free to call the office and ask. Any payments you make above the monthly minimum will reduce the balance due at the end of the budget year.
Price Protection
ALL PRICE PROTECTION PROGRAMS WILL REQUIRE A SIGNED CONTRACT AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY.
F.C. Haab offers Price Protection plans to help customers cope with energy price inflation. Although we don't necessarily recommend it due to current fuel price volatility, if you are interested in these price protection programs, please call our office or contact us and we will work with you to choose the best program for your family and budget.
What we do recommend is going with a daily market price. As a customer, you will receive multiple deliveries during the season at different prices - some prices could be high and some could be low. At the end of each heating season, the average price you end up paying is always lower than any of the price protection prices.
If you are interested in protecting your price, please read about our three plans. For more information or to enroll, please call us or contact us.
Capped Price Plan
You purchase your seasonal supply (or a portion of it) with a two-part guarantee regarding the price. First, your price will not exceed the "cap price" that we agree upon when you enroll, regardless of how high prices go during the heating season. Secondly, if our daily price of oil is lower than the cap price for any given delivery, you will pay the daily price instead of the cap price for that delivery.Pros: Your maximum price is capped, and you won't pay more regardless of where prices go. If prices decrease, you will benefit. We don't charge a fee for this program so the downside protection is limited. Please speak with an FC Haab representative or contact us.
Cons:Picking a point in time to choose your cap, may result in paying higher prices if market drops.
Fixed Price Plan
You agree to purchase your seasonal supply (or a portion of it) from F.C. Haab for a fixed price that we agree upon when you enroll.Pros: Your price is locked in. If prices increase during the heating season, you avoid paying the higher price. This may also be a good budgeting tool to maintain your finances.
Cons: If the price should decrease during the heating season, you will not benefit because your price is locked in.
Prebuy Plan
You purchase your seasonal supply (or a portion of it) in advance. We price your oil based on preseason prices with a built-in discount that rewards you for paying in advance.Pros: Your bill is paid in advance, and your price is locked in. If prices increase during the heating season, you avoid paying the higher price. This may also be a good budgeting tool to maintain your finances.
Cons: If the price should decrease during the heating season, you will not benefit because your price is locked in.
